Deoksu Palace located at the heart of downtown Seoul, was originally the private house of Wolsan prince, the elder brother of King Sungjung of the Chosun Dynasty. If you enter Daehanmun(the palace's main gate), you will find King Sejong's statute, Junghwajeon, Jeokchodang, Seokudang, Hamnyeongjeon, Heungcheonsa temple's great bell. Seokchojeon, which was built after the importation of old American culture is the oldest Western style building in Korea and is being currently used as the Royal Court Relic Exhibition Hall and the Cultural Property Management Bureau.
